Concept Summary:

The product shall be a composition of various clips of short films(37) put together to form an interactive platform, that gives the end user a feeling of ‘Directing their own movie’ vis-à-vis the experience of a set run-down film.

The film shall be the stories of four students, namely, Manav, Rachna, Vidya and Antriksha. All characters have different characteristics, lifestyle, IQ, interests and preferences, who have enrolled themselves into different programs available at Manav Rachna for eg: Vidya is an engineering student and loves music too, Manav is dental student but is too passionate for sports, etc.

Each actor story leads the viewer to get a glimpse of activities and experiences happening in each ones lives starting from day1.

The last course in the film shall be to ask people to vote for their favourite characters and also for them to vote what route does the film take after a point in time.

Audition to select the Actors/Actress of Manav Rachna Video:

2 Actors & 2 Actresses to be selected from MRIU Students, current lot, thru an audition round.

The auditions are scheduled for 16th Feb 2012 at ‘A’ Block Auditorium at MRIU Campus.

The publicity of the same would be done by placing hoardings, banners etc in the campus.

The registration forms would be kept with Dean-Student Welfare at ‘A’ Block and Registrar-Admin & PR Dept. at ‘B’ Block and other locations at MRIU Campus.

The students can fill up the form and deposit there itself and then they would be called for the auditions on 16th Feb. There will be a voting round for the students by the students in the Audition round and the best actor/actress for a lead role would be based on the voting by the students and the acting in that particular role.

Production:

The production of the shoot shall take place for duration of appx. 10 days on the campus primarily, and nearby outdoor locations if the script demands so.

I’m no shy guy and I’m not the one to mess with. I like to ride, sing, dance, play and study sometimes (keeps my dad happy and my allowance coming!). I live every day as it comes and look for more and new fun, at all expense but mine.

Rachna

I’m shy, reserved and a bit of an introvert but I’m smart and intelligent. I always score the top-grade in all subjects. My room is my hangout and TV, shopping, phone are things I generally refrain from. I want to be an Engineer and make my parents proud. I’m not a total bore, I love to sing and dance. My life is a little dull, with all work and no fun still a little something inside me entices me to indulge.

Vidya

Media is my passion and I wanna be a journalist. I’m the one who loves to talk and talk and talk. I’m fast to grasp, learn and analyse. I know what story misses what ingredient and am quick to point out flaws. I make friends everyday and love to hang out. If there’s an event happening, it can’t be without me. Antariksha

A guy full of youth and crazy about sports, I’m a dental student for the world and a sportsman by spirit! I believe learning off-the-class is also very important and I’m no ways a dull boy. I like to make the most of my day and am popular among friends. I look to shoot for the moon so at the least I may land among the stars. Sports is my religion and Sachin(Tendulkar) is my GOD. I am Punjab-da-Puttar and my motto is “Never Give Up”

The Manav Rachna International University launched the theme song for Sports Authority of India for their scheme ‘Come and Play’.  Chairman, Manav Rachna Group, Dr. O.P.Bhalla released the cd of the theme song at the National Stadium in New Delhi on 9 October 2011.

Appreciating the song with lots of applauses by the volunteers present , the Manav Rachna Band was appreciated for its creation of the song where the lyrics, music and the final product was a creation by the band members of Manav Rachna under the guidance of Dr Amit Bhalla .

At the programme present were Mr. Mukul Wasnik, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment  and Mr.  Ajay Maken,  Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports who released the cd together with Dr. O.P.Bhalla.

All candidates who have submitted their application on or before 24th July 2011 must report for physical counseling at 9:00 AM in Block-A of the University campus on 25th July 2011. The eligible candidates will be required to deposit the fees @ Rs. 53500 on the spot either in cash or through Demand Draft payable in favour of Manav Rachna International University.

All candidates must bring proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria and Provisional Degree issued by the respective College / Institute. In case, result of the final semester has not been declared, they must bring appearing certificate form College/ Institute along with Detailed Marks Certificates upto 7th semester for B.Tech students and 3rd semester for M.Sc. students.. Admission to M.Tech programmes shall be made on the basis of qualifying exam as given in the Admission Brochure and 1st preference shall be given to those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. Seats remaining vacant 2nd preference will be given to the candidates on the basis of merit in qualifying exam upto 7th semester for B.Tech students and 3rd semester for M.Sc. students..

Physical presence of the candidates and production of original academic certificates is mandatory. Original certificates shall be verified and returned to the candidates. The counseling shall be closed as and when seats are filled up. The admission shall be made purely on merit. Candidates may check eligibility criteria, fee and other details through appropriate link in the website. For those candidates, whose result in qualifying exam has not been declared, provisional admission may be granted subject to the condition that they must produce proof of their eligibility and having cleared the qualifying examination on or before 15th October 2011, failing which their admission shall be cancelled and no refund of fees shall be made
