The Application for admission can be submitted ONLINE only. However, a candidate desirous of submitting application shall require to pay through a Credit / Debit Card using Payment Gateway at the time of submission of the form after the online application form has been duly filled with all mandatory fields. Alternatively, the candidate may purchase Admission Brochure, which contains a Scratch Card bearing a unique number coated with scratchable coating. The candidate shall be required to scratch the coating gently to expose the unique number, which may be entered in the appropriate box at the time of submission of Application Form.
Hard copy of the Admission Brochure containing Scratch Card may be obtained from the selected branches of Axis Bank given on the University website, MRIU Campus and Administrative Headquarters at Faridabad and various City Offices at Guwahati, Jammu, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Patna and Ranchi on payment of Rs.1200/- .
The candidates may refer to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the University website, may call the Admission Counselors at 0129-4259000 at Faridabad or may visit the Admission Cell in the University campus at Faridabad in Block-E. B.Tech Normal Entry- 65% marks in 10+2 with PCM (55% for 2nd shift); B.Tech Lateral Entry-60% marks in 3 year diploma in Engg. or B.Sc, Integrated B.Tech -60% Marks in 10th in Science, Maths & English, M.Tech- 55% marks in B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc.; M.Sc. Biotechnology – Degree in Life Science or equivalent with 50% marks; BBA & BCA-55% marks in 10+2; MPT-55% marks in BPT; other undergraduate programmes- 50% marks in 10+2 and postgraduate programmes other than M.Tech & MPT-50% marks in graduation. Admission shall be made in B.Tech Normal Entry on the basis of merit in AIEEE 2011, and Merit in qualifying examination in the same order for seats remaining vacant; in M.Tech on the basis of merit in GATE, and Merit in qualifying examination in the same order for seats remaining vacant; in MBA on the basis of consolidated merit on 100 point scale with 30% Weightage of qualifying examination, 40% Weightage of entrance test, 10% Weightage of GD and 20% Weightage of interview; in all other courses on the basis of merit in MR-NAT 2011 and merit in qualifying examination for seats remaining vacant. Candidates seeking admission in various programmes in the University are allowed to submit application for admission On-line only. Candidates may submit the On-line application from anywhere, any time. Applicant is required to fill up personal details, qualification and choice of broad category of courses. Candidates are advised to keep a softcopy of the photograph ready (upto a size of 50 KB) as uploaded of photograph is mandatory to apply through the online form.Candidates are advised to go through Admission Brochure carefully and act accordingly.
The candidates may deposit Admission Application fee online through Payment Gateway provided by the Axis Bank through internet banking or Credit / Debit Cards. Alternatively, they may procure the Admission Brochure at specified branches of Axis Bank in India or from the counter at University campus or Administrative Headquarters at Faridabad by paying an amount of Rs. 1200 in cash. When a candidate purchases a copy of the Admission Brochure, it will contain a Scratch Card carrying a unique number, covered by a scratchable coating. The candidate will be required to scratch the card softly and uncover the number mentioned on it. That number may be filled in the designated row in the online application format and payment shall deemed to be accepted.
There shall be a Common Online Application for all programmes being offered in the academic year 2011-12. If a candidate is eligible for more than one group of courses, and intends to seek admission in either of such groups, he / she shall opt for all the groups and his / her name shall automatically appear in lists of all such groups for which option has been given. Separate merit list for each group shall be prepared by the Faculty concerned. Once, merit list for each group has been prepared, a schedule for physical counseling shall be announced through notice on the University website and notice boards. Effort shall be made to inform the candidates either through e-mail or SMS about the notices so displayed, but candidates are advised to visit University website on regular basis.
